I have no son but if I had and he died and I had this dream I might, depending on how vivid and lucid the dream is, conclude that it really was him and that he was trying to tell me something. Them I’d have to determine what that shirt symbolizes in the dream and what it would mean for it to be shredded. Perhaps your son might be telling you that there is something broken inside you——understandable given such a horrific tragedy——but that somehow someway it needs to be fixed.
