They made us Stand up and Listen. Stand up and vote. They did not stay Silent on the Face of Evil. They woke up America. A Society too dumbed down to speak up for themselves. Still is today. Remember … NOT TO SPEAK, IS TO SPEAK, NOT TO ACT, IS TO ACT. GOD WILL NOT HOLD US GUILTLESS. They did what they could in tumultuous times. Music from those generations, also changed the world. Lyrics, Bands, our Icons will never be repeated. Today’s Music says nothing … is repetitive, and doesn’t shake up people to think.

The war ended. Nixon resigned. Coke and heroin replaced pot and LSD. Disco and then new wave became bigger than classic rock. Hippies became yuppies by 1980 or so. The end. I was driving home one night down the I-5 freeway in SoCal. I remember it being a dark night, maybe with a new moon, so not much illumination. I worked second shift, so it was near midnight. I was maybe 5 miles from home in Burbank (north of L.A.) when I saw a figure dart across the four Southbound lanes of freeway, about 200 yards in front of my truck.
